We are currently seeking an innovative and dynamic leader to lead our adult Mass Merch Sales team as VP, Mass Merchant Sales. The VP, Sales will help set and implement strategic direction of the department as well as direct the day-to-day business of the Mass Merchant channel. The ideal candidate will have experience in book, media, retail merchandising, or other relevant industries in a senior leadership role, and respond well to a fast-moving and fluid work environment.
We are seeking a Sales and Retail Marketing Manager to increase sales to BIPOC-owned bookstores and grow the overall sales of books by BIPOC authors across all channels. This role will partner with the Sales and Publishing Divisions and will be a key sales liaison for the BIPOC channel.
This newly created role will encompass both sales and retail marketing functions by playing a critical role in bringing books by BIPOC authors to market and developing promotional opportunities for the BIPOC-owned bookstore channel. This role will also work closely with the key account managers that serve the general trade book market on this initiative to maximize distribution of our BIPOC catalog to all accounts.
This exciting opportunity will offer high visibility as this position will regularly participate in discussions on sales strategy at key internal meetings. This position will report to the SVP, Sales General Books while working with others in sales management in both adult and children’s books and is based in New York City.
The Product Manager, Direct-to-Consumer is a focal role in a team at the heart of a high-profile, strategic initiative at HarperCollins Publishers, the second largest book publisher in the world. The Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) team focuses on growing the Children’s division Book Club business for the I CAN READ! and Picture Book programs by using data-driven insights and decision making. The Direct-To-Consumer Senior Financial Analyst will play a key role in growing the direct-to-consumer business. This individual will be responsible for the forecast for a high growth subscription business, including business planning and budgeting, and ad hoc special projects. This role will be responsible for building a financial model, and strategic support to team members and senior leadership alike, including preparing presentation materials, new business opportunities, and other forecasting and analysis as needed. This function serves as the analytic epicenter of the direct-to-consumer team to provide insights and support for efficient business decision making. The ideal candidate has a firm understanding of all the critical metrics that impact the direct-to-consumer business and accounts for them accordingly when budgeting, forecasting, and running analysis.

HarperCollins Children’s Books is seeking a creative, organized, and dynamic Marketing Manager (Subscription) to oversee the strategy and day-to-day marketing needs for HarperCollins Children’s I Can Read! subscription box and developing subscription box programs. Duties include directing content creative, social media marketing strategy, and ongoing digital and advertising campaigns to promote the program. This will include creative copywriting, advertising and social media strategy development, and routing and organizing all materials for approvals.
