Overview

HarperCollins Publishers is hiring for a skilled Manager, WMS Integration & Support to manage the Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) testing lifecycle and post go-live support for a new implementation of Manhattan Active WM (MAWM).  In this role, you will bridge the gap between warehouse systems and external HarperCollins IT systems. You will focus heavily on developing and executing end-to-end, all-encompassing testing plans. Your expertise in WMS technology and logistics will help us successfully implement on-time and with high quality.

 

Beyond the initial 18 months, this resource will transition into a warehouse systems support role, which will include system governance, enhancement management, training, integration management, and general operational support.

Responsibilities

  • Environment Management: Collaborate with internal HCP teams and external vendors to develop and maintain environment strategy for all IT systems (Stage/QA/Prod, integrations, environment data resets, migration, etc.)
  • Test Plan Development: Develop overall testing plan encompassing all test phases and all systems, including WMS, ERP, middleware, and any other impacted systems
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work daily with warehouse leaders, IT developers, and external logistics partners.
  • System Testing: Lead testing execution efforts, including coordinating test data creation, assigning daily test scenarios for completion, and reviewing of test results.
  • Defect Resolution: Monitor the status of all open defects, assigning a priority to each defect, coordinating new WMS development or configuration work, and supporting resting efforts.
  • Project Management: Track progress daily, weekly, and monthly of testing execution and results against the test plan.  Develop detailed and executive level dashboards to support reporting efforts.
  • Post Go-Live Support: Provide hypercare support immediately following go-lives and provide continued post go-live support as the WMS and operations stabilize.
  • Training: Partner with operations and WMS teams to ensure SOPs and training materials are continually updated to reflect the latest WMS changes.
  • WMS Governance: Develop and maintain processes for WMS change requests and support implementation of any system changes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Information Systems, or related field experience.
  • 5+ years managing the lifecycle of complex, high-impact IT projects
  • 3+ years of experience working with warehouse IT systems, including WMS, WCS, and automated solutions
  • Direct experience implementing, configuring, or integrating Warehouse Management Systems (such as Manhattan, Blue Yonder, SAP EWM, or HighJump).
  • Experience utilizing Jira ,Confluence, and Xray to manage the testing and implementation lifecycle.
  • Solid understanding of standard supply chain principles and logistics metrics.
  • Ability to read data maps and understand API connections.
  • Strong ability to explain technical concepts to warehouse staff and operational needs to software developers.
  • An analytical mindset focused on finding simple, effective solutions to complex physical and digital workflow issues.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple integration tasks at once while keeping teams aligned and on schedule.

The salary range for this position is $115,000-$125,000. We recognize that attracting the best talent is key to our strategy and success as a company. The quoted salary range represents our good faith estimate as to what our ideal candidates are likely to expect, and we tailor our offers within the range based on the selected candidate's experience, industry knowledge, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the interview process.
