We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, organized, and enthusiastic Assistant Publicist to join the prestigious literary imprint, Ecco! This position will support the tight-knit, dynamic Ecco publicity department (Director of Publicity and VP, Publicity) on projects across the full spectrum of Ecco’s list, including literary fiction and narrative nonfiction, cookbooks, poetry, memoir, science, biography, and everything in between. Our authors have won numerous prizes and awards, including the Nobel Prize, the Pulitzer Prize, the National Book Award, and others. This position offers both the chance to work on projects independently and be mentored by one of the strongest publicity teams in the business. The role is perfect for a self-starter, someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, and multi-tasks easily. Ideally this candidate is familiar with the Ecco list and is passionate about spreading the word about great books, tapped into the media and cultural landscape, and most importantly, loves to read widely. The salary for this position is $52,500. We recognize that attracting the best talent is key to our strategy and success as a company.
