Overview

Harlequin, a division of HarperCollins,is seeking a Quality Receiving Auditor. The Quality Receiving Auditor inspects incoming products to ensure they meet quality standards and maintains accurate inspection and incident records. The role also supports client onboarding, manages customs documentation, and collaborates across departments to resolve quality and receiving issues.

Responsibilities

  • Performs quality inspections of all incoming product, maintaining all records, tolerance charts, quantities and dimensions.
  • Updates quality incident database (QIR) and distributes information. Performs follow-up to drive quality issue resolution.
  • Maintains cross reference file for all product.
  • Carries out the receiving process for the onboarding of new clients, provides feedback on processes and issues. Creates Lot Record cards for new packaging for all clients.
  • Maintains Material Review Board area and preproduction samples.
  • Completes customs documents for all Freight Forwarding orders, verifies the accuracy of the documents prior to placing them on the corresponding cartons. 
  • Process and responds to all internal and external requests for customs documents.
  • Participates in various meetings involving quality, traffic, inventory and/or other issues.
  • Performs marginal tasks.

Qualifications

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • High School Diploma required. Associates degree is preferred with 2 years’ experience in Quality and/or Inventory Management.  Otherwise, at least 4 solid years in Quality and/or Inventory Management field
  • Proficiency with MS Office.
  • Knowledge of PkMS (or other warehouse management system) preferred.
  • Good written and oral skills required.
  • Must demonstrate ability to communicate verbally and in writing (e.g. e-mail).
  • Must be able to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, decimals, fractions and English/Metric conversions.
  • Must be able to perform product measurements and sizing calculations with available tools.
  • Must be able to read and verify numbers, check data on a computer, audit data and perform number reconciliations.
  • Must be able to identify when a problem occurs, gather associated detail, alert others to problems and make recommendations for solutions.
  • Must be able to perform stock verifications and quality checks

  • Frequently required to work near moving equipment.
  • Frequently works in noise of moderate volume.
  • Occasionally smells diesel fumes from dock trucks and propane from forklifts.
  • Occasionally works in varying degrees of temperature.

  • Occasionally required to talk, climb stairs, and lift from 10 to 30 lbs.

Pay: Starting at $19.50/hr  Salary will commensurate with experience.
