Overview

We are seeking an accomplished and strategic Senior IT Manager, Warehouse Operations to lead the systems implementation and ongoing system operations for our state-of-the-art supply chain logistics facility. Spanning 1.6 million square feet and operating 24/5, this flagship distribution center will be one of the most advanced in the industry. Designed with cutting-edge technology, the facility will enhance fulfillment capacity, improve efficiency, reduce waste, and provide unprecedented visibility and control over the supply chain.

 

This senior leader will oversee the design, implementation, and support of the systems within the building and will lead a team of technical and business analyst professionals.

 

The ideal candidate is a seasoned leader with proven success with systems and technologies in a distribution environments.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the design, configuration, testing, and implementation of new warehouse systems including WMS and WCS.
  • Design, implement and optimize advanced warehouse management systems (WMS), warehouse control systems (WCS), and labor management systems (LMS) to maximize productivity, efficiency, and accuracy.
  • Partner with operations leadership to align warehouse operations with broader business objectives, including service-level targets, cost control, sustainability, and scalability.
  • Collaborate with business, operations, and other technical teams to define and document new projects or change requests.
  • Communicate design requirements into systems’ proposals or enhancements. Communicate requirements to internal teams and 3rd party providers. 
  • Define deliverables, target dates, and identify resources required for systems initiatives.
  • Manage internal team of business analysts and 3rd party provider relationships. 
  • Recommend operations changes supported by systems capabilities.
  • Document, track, and resolve production issues with internal teams and 3rd party providers. Provide regular status updates and timing to restore functionality/services.  Identify reoccurring issues and perform root cause analysis to recommend fixes.
  • Document business reporting requirements and develop reports that improve visibility, increase efficiency, and reduce costs in the operation.
  • Post go-live, provide daily technical support to the operations team, including inbound, inventory control, outbound, and all automated solutions.

Qualifications

  • + years’ experience in tier 1 Warehouse & Labor Management Systems integrated in a robust operating environment which includes ERP, carrier systems, WCS, Goods-to-Person automation, packaging automation, mobile devices, and inline label printing.
  • Demonstrate strong business knowledge in core functional areas: receiving, inventory, work orders, order scheduling & fulfillment, yard management & shipping, parcel manifesting.
  • Proven ability to leverage technology and automation to drive efficiency and improve supply chain performance.
  • Collaborate with diverse teams including business, operations, technical teams, and 3rd party providers.
  • Balance multiple projects or change initiatives. Lead projects throughout all phases.  Mitigate project conflicts and risks.
  • Strong time management, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience managing and developing team of direct reports.
  • Able to independently lead initiatives and make decisions.
  • JDE, Manhattan Active, JIRA, or Confluence experience is a plus.

The salary range for this position $160,000-$175,000. We recognize that attracting the best talent is key to our strategy and success as a company. The quoted salary range represents our good faith estimate as to what our ideal candidates are likely to expect, and we tailor our offers within the range based on the selected candidate's experience, industry knowledge, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the interview process.
