Overview

We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic Marketing Intern to support the HarperOne imprint, a nonfiction imprint committed to publishing the most important books across its core categories of memoir and biography, religion, spirituality, science and technology, health and healing, personal growth, the environment, and social change. From C. S. Lewis and Paulo Coelho to Dr. Julie Smith, Brianna Madia, and Father Jim Martin, HarperOne authors rank among the world’s most influential voices and enduring visionaries. HarperOne publishes books for the world we want to live in.

 

The intern will provide research and administrative support to help the marketing team deliver innovative marketing campaigns. The intern will also have the opportunity to feed ideas into and create content for some of the social channels within the imprint.

Responsibilities

  • Supports our creative media plans with ideas, research, and outreach.
  • Provides general administrative support for the department, including social media scheduling and monitoring and helping with digital campaigns and administration.
  • Works closely with other members of the marketing team and manages elements of campaigns where relevant.
  • Aids with influencer outreach and fulfills mailings to tastemakers

Qualifications

  • Candidates who are available to work in a full-time capacity in 2026 or 2027 are eligible for this internship; open to rising seniors, recent graduates, master’s students, or entry level candidates with up to two years of work experience. 
  • Candidates must be available to work 21 hours per week across 3 or 4 days, from February 9 to April 17, 2026, at the location specified in the job description. This internship is compensated at a rate of $18 per hour.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.

  • Ideal candidates are either currently enrolled in or have recently graduated from an undergraduate or master’s program.
  • A passion for books is highly valued! 
  • Experience creating and managing social media content 
  • Familiar with the landscape of social media trends
  • Comfortable using design applications like Canva
  • Some experience with workflow programs like Airtable and Asana
  • Must have an interest in books and familiarity with the current nonfiction marketplace
  • Comfortable working remotely and efficient at time management
  • Experience with copyediting and proofing work
