Overview

The HarperCollins Retail Marketing team is seeking a summer intern! The Retail Marketing team is responsible for a wide range of things, including independent bookstore trade shows, liaising with publicity on our events program, managing preorder campaigns, specialized galley mailings, and more. 

Responsibilities

  • Works with the Associate Director in the planning and preparation of Children's Institute. 
  • Assists with bookseller follow up from Winter Institute.
  • Executes Indie Next Mailings and Creates Indie Next reminder newsletters.
  • Assists Director of Retail Marketing with Bookseller facing Newsletters
  • Assists Associate Director in Fall Regional Planning and in-house Fall Preview
  • Mails out ARCs to Booksellers.
  • Takes notes at staff meetings & keeps team on track on all weekly action items.
  • Attends various cross departmental meetings.

Qualifications

  • Candidates who are available to work in a full-time capacity in 2026 or 2027 are eligible for this internship; open to rising seniors, recent graduates, master’s students, or entry level candidates with up to two years of work experience. 
  • Candidates must be available to work 28 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, from June 8 to August 13, 2026, at our New York City office. This internship is compensated at a rate of $18 per hour.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.

  • Ideal candidates are either currently enrolled in or have recently graduated from an undergraduate or master’s program.
