The HarperCollins Information Center/Archives department operates within the Corporate Communications department of the company. Its primary responsibility encompasses the maintenance of both the Corporate Archive and Book Archive. The Corporate Archive comprises a diverse array of historical materials such as newsletters, original catalogs, author and building photographs, and various other documents, while the book archive holds nearly 200,000 physical books stored off-site. The HarperCollins Archives Digital Archives boasts over 15,000 artifacts, author profiles, archival catalogs, and additional resources. Our objective is to facilitate employee engagement with the rich heritage of HarperCollins, its affiliated imprints, companies, titles, and esteemed authors. As an intern within the Corporate Communications department and the HarperCollins Information Center/Archives, the student will be exposed to the day-to-day workings of a small corporate archive, as well as a Records Management program.
