Overview

We are currently seeking a Consumer Marketing Intern to join the Central Marketing team this summer. The Central Marketing team supports digital marketing processes for various departments and imprints across HarperCollins US. This is a unique opportunity to learn about book publishing and marketing, and to work with a close-knit, collaborative team—the perfect role for someone who is detail-oriented, social media-savvy, creative, and an analytical thinker. 

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Assists in developing and creating HarperCollins corporate social media content.
  • Advises team on social media trends, news, and overall platforms.
  • Communicates performance on social media posts and campaigns.
  • Provides general team support, including content planning and organization, website collection updates, and more. 
  • Attends seasonal and recurring meetings with the team. 
  • Collaborate on advertising research projects for emerging strategies and technology
  • Support digital advertising team with campaign execution, QA, and reporting

Qualifications

  • Candidates who are available to work in a full-time capacity in 2026 or 2027 are eligible for this internship; open to rising seniors, recent graduates, master’s students, or entry level candidates with up to two years of work experience. 
  • Candidates must be available to work 28 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, from June 8 to August 13, 2026, at our New York City office. This internship is compensated at a rate of $18 per hour.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.

  • Ideal candidates are either currently enrolled in or have recently graduated from an undergraduate or master’s program.
  • A passion for books is highly valued!
  • Exceptional written and oral communications skills. 
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
  • Excellent organizational, attention to detail, and time-management skills.
  • A positive, can-do attitude, excitement to learn, and an enthusiastic, creative self-starter.
  • Passion for books, publishing, social media, and marketing.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of social media platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, and Threads.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and social media content creation tools including TikTok, CapCut, and Canva. Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and Sprout a plus.
