The Marketing Operations team at HarperCollins Christian Publishing is looking for a book-loving intern to join us in a paid summer role. We work across every publishing division, connecting with authors, editors, sales teams, and marketers to keep the business running smoothly.

Responsibilities

The Marketing Operations intern will dive headfirst into the world of digital marketing, gaining hands-on experience across a variety of areas like email marketing, SEO, social media, paid advertising, data analytics, Amazon marketing, and more! This is your chance to explore all facets of digital marketing and discover what truly excites you.

 

The intern will:

  • Get certified: Gain in-depth knowledge of all things digital marketing and earn multiple platform certifications.
  • Master SEO tools: Work with SEO platforms to analyze websites and uncover actionable insights.
  • Be part of the action: Attend editorial, marketing, and titling meetings to experience the publishing life cycle.
  • Learn social: Assist with social media strategies, from social listening to crafting content plans.
  • Spot the trends: Research the latest marketing and consumer trends to help our imprints stay ahead of the curve.
  • Crack Amazon’s algorithm: Explore Amazon’s marketing options and learn the art of metadata optimization.
  • Crunch the numbers: Present data analytics and reporting to key stakeholders to drive better decisions.
  • Nerd out. Be surrounded by other bookish people who treat pub announcements like the Super Bowl.

Qualifications

  • Candidates who are available to work in a full-time capacity in 2026 or 2027 are eligible for this internship; open to rising seniors, recent graduates, master’s students, or entry level candidates with up to two years of work experience. 
  • Candidates must be available to work 28 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, from June 8 to August 13, 2026. Tuesdays and Wednesdays are mandatory in-office days at our Nashville headquarters, while Mondays and Thursdays are remote workdays. Compensation for this internship is $18 per hour. 
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.

  • Ideal candidates are either currently enrolled in or have recently graduated from an undergraduate or master’s program.
  • A passion for books is highly valued! 
  • Experience with any of the following tools is a plus: Excel, Canva, Airtable, SQL, or PowerBI.
