Our publishing work now extends to the ownership and commissioning of the New King James Version, along with publishing other modern language editions of the Bible. The Senior Marketing Associate manages projects and product marketing initiatives as assigned, and assists with the execution of marketing, advertising and PR programs for the Thomas Nelson Bibles marketing team.

 

This is a hybrid position based out of our Nashville office.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the execution of promotional plans and coordinates new product marketing plans and budgets, as assigned
  • Develops and executes social media plans across platforms with precision, including developing assets, writing devotional/theologically-based content, and editing photo and video assets
  • Leads coordination of photo and video content marketing planning and execution for the team
  • Coordinates key marketing meetings
  • Other related responsibilities, as required.

Qualifications

Work Experience/Knowledge:

  • 2+ years in a marketing or related field role
  • Well-versed in both traditional and digital marketing campaigns

 Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing, design, biblical studies, or related field

 

Industry Knowledge:

  • Experience and/or interest in publishing a plus.
  • Experience serving the Christian market in publishing, ministry, or related field, preferred.

Skills:

  • Proven ability to develop and maintain strong professional relationships with colleagues and vendors
  • Proven experience evaluating the performance of marketing initiatives
  • Experience managing multiple, competing priorities, duties and/or projects
  • Strong organizational, time management skills with attention to detail
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to work independently under tight deadlines 
  • Strong computer skills necessary, especially Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative applications and/or Canva, familiarity with AI-based productivity tools
  • Familiarity working with website builders such as WordPress preferred
