Overview

We are currently seeking a creative and motivated Production Assistant to join the HarperCollins Production team in the Princeton, NJ office.  (Hybrid.  Up to three days per week in office) 

In this role, the Production Assistant will support HarperCollins publishing from transmittal to release to printer.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the shepherding of projects through from manuscript to bound books
  • Act as liaison between all departments
    • Collaborating with editorial, design, and production departments on various tasks
  • Assist with setting schedules to coordinate proofreading and design of the entire book project
  • Estimate costs and finalize purchase orders for each component of a bound book
  • Traffic materials digitally and by mail.
  • Enter data related to book specifications

Qualifications

  • Must have the ability to manage projects and prioritize tight book schedules as needed
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of management
  • College-level understanding of and use of the English language
  • Exceptional organization skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to set priorities under pressure
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word

The salary for this position is $50,000. We recognize that attracting the best talent is key to our strategy and success as a company.
