Overview

The eCommerce Operations Manager oversees the daily operations of our Direct-to-Consumer eCommerce websites, including ChurchSource, FaithGateway, The Foyer, and more, ensuring a seamless and high-performing customer experience. This role requires a deep understanding of the Shopify Plus platform and the ability to execute eCommerce, digital marketing, and merchandising strategies to drive traffic, conversions, and engagement. Responsibilities span product page updates, site maintenance, collection curation, inventory management, and digital content updates that enhance sales performance and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Essential Responsibilities:

 

  • Website Management & Merchandising:
    • Collaborate with Brand and Publishing teams to support product launches and campaigns, including creating pages, bundles, merchandising strategies, on-site messaging, and inventory/logistics coordination.
    • Ensure product listings are accurate and optimized, including descriptions, pricing, and images.
    • Maintain and update the product catalog while optimizing data presentation across eCommerce platforms.
    • Partner with internal teams and agencies to enhance the customer journey and site design.
  • Operations Management:
    • Manage the daily operations of our eCommerce businesses to ensure optimal performance including web merchandising, vendor management, and invoice processing.
    • Oversee promotions and pricing across all websites.
    • Monitor site performance, functionality, and speed and raise issues promptly.
    • Address customer service escalations and provide operational solutions.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with Digital Product Management, Brand, and Publishing teams to identify and implement opportunities for process improvements and site enhancements.
    • Ensure eCommerce operations are aligned with broader organizational goals by fostering cross-functional communication and collaboration.
    • Manage eCommerce-related projects, ensuring clear timelines, responsibilities, and successful execution.
  • Analytics:
    • Track and analyze key performance metrics (e.g., conversion rates, traffic sources, heatmapping) to identify areas for improvement based on data insights.
    • Present actionable insights to internal teams to drive growth, engagement, and conversion.

Qualifications

Work Experience: 

  • 3+ years of experience in eCommerce and/or digital marketing.
  • 1+ years of experience with Shopify Plus.

Education:  Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, information system, e-commerce or related disciplines; or equivalent.

 

Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of eCommerce and online retail operations.
  • Understanding of Shopify Plus platform.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing tools and analytics platforms (e.g., Rebuy, YotPo, Google Analytics, CrazyEgg)
  • Knowledge of SEO a plus
  • Experience with WordPress a plus

Industry Knowledge:

Familiarity with faith-based market a plus.

Skills: 

  • Highly detail and process-oriented; know how to create systems for work to ensure nothing gets missed.
  • Skilled in fostering teamwork and cross-functional partnerships; understand how all the pieces fit together and who needs to brought into work along the way.
  • Excellent problem-solving and project management skills.
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently.
  • Proficient in analyzing data and leveraging insights to make informed decisions.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

 

The salary range for this position is $60,000 – $75,000. We recognize that attracting the best talent is key to our strategy and success as a company.  As a result, we aim for flexibility in structuring competitive compensation offers to ensure we are able to attract the best candidates.  The quoted salary range represents our good faith estimate as to what our ideal candidates are likely to expect, and we tailor our offers within the range based on the selected candidate's experience, industry knowledge, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the interview process.
