Overview

HarperCollinsPublishers is currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst/ Model Builder for Anaplan, reporting to the VP of Finance Projects. As an Anaplan Model Builder, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our Anaplan implementation. We are looking for a skilled professional who can design, develop, and optimize Anaplan models to streamline our business processes. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the foundational stages of our Anaplan journey and shape how we leverage this powerful platform to drive business success.  You will collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective Anaplan solutions. Your expertise will ensure that our Anaplan platform is optimized for performance, scalability, and usability.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build Anaplan modules, creating scalable, multi-dimensional, and flexible models that support business processes
  • Translating requirements into functional requirements and use cases, designing calculations, and mapping out business processes
  • Enhancing, troubleshooting, and configuring model settings to meet business needs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated Anaplan solutions
  • Configure and maintain data integrations with other systems, ensuring data accuracy and consistency
  • Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation for Anaplan models, including design, mappings, and formulas
  • Providing user training and support to ensure effective adoption of Anaplan models.
  • Work with leadership to analyze business opportunities as well as execute process improvement.
  • Stay updated with Anaplan best practices and new features to continuously improve our Anaplan environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance, or Management Information Systems (MIS)
  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience as an Anaplan Model Builder as a consultant
  • Minimum Anaplan Model Builder Certifications L1 and L2
  • Solid understanding of Anaplan platform capabilities and architecture
  • Experience in building and optimizing Anaplan models, including modules, lists, dashboards, and reports
  • Must possess excellent communication and organizational skills along with cross-functional knowledge
  • Excellent analytical skills; is detail oriented, organized and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to travel to HarperCollins office locations via car and/or plane; driver’s license required
