Overview

This job works closely with internal teams, vendors and the Business in prioritizing data and information requirements. The Sr Manager, Data Engineer will be responsible for expanding and optimizing our data architecture, as well as optimizing data flow and collection of data for Risk Adjustment teams. The ideal candidate is an experienced data workflow builder and data wrangler who enjoys optimizing data systems and building them from the ground up. This job provides analysis in the development and support of projects and data analysis. Determines how decision support systems will provide information required to make effective business decisions; translates requirements into applications that employ appropriate decision support and reporting tools.  Recommends innovative approaches to analytical investigations

Responsibilities

  • Provide data strategy, guidance, fostering collaborative relationships between different IT team and business unit to create impactful, integrated, and measurable work
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and partners to roll out new data related product and drive adoption
  • Gather requirements for updates and prioritize improvements to existing tools, build new features or functionalities into existing data products or tools
  • Contribute to methodology development to further refine and expand data capabilities
  • Develop measurement frameworks and reporting for key clients, and support primary quantitative and qualitative research
  • Manage and assist the data management team to support day to day operation and production

Qualifications

 

  • 4 years of experience in data programming language (SQL, SSIS, Python or equivalent)
  • Tech-savvy with interest in data product and strong analytical problem-solving skills (must have a love for problem solving / finding solutions to complex issues)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Client service mentality, adaptability, and willingness to collaborate openly with other functions
  • Experience with fast-paced, solution driven business models
  • Ability to research and drive initiatives independently with a strong sense of discipline and responsibility
  • Confidence communicating findings and methodology with the business and teammates
  • Ability to translate complex, mathematically based and/or abstract ideas into solid, tangible expressions
  • Proven ability to learn skills and knowledge on demand in a compressed timeline
  • Comfort dealing with ambiguity when exploring data to uncover insights
  • Must be available to work 9am to 5pm Eastern Time.
