The SVP of IT Delivery will be responsible for managing the IT teams that identify, design, implement and support publishing systems across North America.  Reporting directly to the CIO, the SVP of IT Delivery’s team will include Solutions Management, Application Engineering, Digital Solutions, Business Analysis, PMO, and Training.  We are looking for a candidate who has demonstrated the ability to effectively manage a large IT team in a dynamic business environment.

 

 

This position is based in NYC on a hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Aligns IT application development with the organization's strategic objectives, ensuring that IT initiatives support business goals.
  • Works directly with all levels in the organization to identify and prioritize opportunities.
  • Provides leadership and direction to the IT delivery team, fostering an environment of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensures the successful delivery of IT projects and programs, from conception through to completion, meeting time, budget, and quality constraints.
  • Allocates and manages resources effectively, ensuring that projects are staffed with the right mix of skills and experience.
  • Oversees IT service delivery, ensuring high levels of service availability, performance, and user satisfaction.
  • Manages relationships with vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts and ensuring that service levels meet business needs.
  • Develops and maintains a technology roadmap, identifying opportunities to leverage new technologies that can drive business innovation and competitive advantage.
  • Ensures that IT solutions are architecturally sound and integrated with the broader IT landscape, supporting scalability, security, and interoperability.
  • Serves as a key liaison between IT and other business units, effectively communicating IT strategies, plans, and challenges to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Leads change management initiatives related to IT delivery, ensuring that changes are smoothly implemented and that staff are supported through transitions.
  • Implements quality assurance practices to ensure that IT products and services meet or exceed predefined standards and user expectations.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years managing complex enterprise environments
  • Proficient in multiple delivery methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall
  • 3+ years’ experience conducting SOX audits with external auditors
  • 3+ years working closely with an enterprise Cyber Security team Experienced with leadership across diverse teams and disciplines
  • Ability to present to the executive management team
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, strategic and critical thinker, problem solver
  • Ability to integrate and execute in a matrixed, team-oriented, open and collaborative environment
  • Extensive experience managing solution delivery teams
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Book publishing or media experience a plus

The salary range for this position is $275,000-$285,000. We recognize that attracting the best talent is key to our strategy and success as a company.  As a result, we aim for flexibility in structuring competitive compensation offers to ensure we are able to attract the best candidates.  The quoted salary range represents our good faith estimate as to what our ideal candidates are likely to expect, and we tailor our offers within the range based on the selected candidate's experience, industry knowledge, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the interview process.
