Warehouse Workers / Returns Processing Line 

 

Hiring for 6:00AM to 2:30PM shift, 40 hours/week some overtime available

 

Hourly wage: $15.00/hour

 

Benefits start date of hire.

 

Position Overview:  Must have some previous warehouse experience with proven record of excellent attendance.

Warehouse worker in LaPorte, Indiana, processing returned books. Work in individualized stations, with computer system and scanners to process credits to customers. Collect product from conveyor line, sort, and put in designated locations. Use pallet jack to move material as needed. 

Responsibilities

Capable of standing all day and lifting up to 40-50 pounds.

Perform repetitive tasks.

Reading and comprehending instructions/procedures.
Good communication skills.

Work well with others, but prefer to work alone.
Use pallet jack to move pallets up to 600lbs.
Use ladder or stool to and reach overhead.
Good organizational and Math skills.
Computer literate.

Must be 18 years of age.

Physical Demands

Standing, walking, bending, squatting, reaching, crouching, grasping, kneeling, balancing, pushing, pulling, lifting and carrying.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, making hearing protection optional but not required.
Hearing is necessary due to the automated equipment used (horn honking required to notify pedestrians that vehicles are near).
