Overview

HarperCollins Publishers is seeking a Royalty Clerk. 

 

This position will be responsible for Subrights input and/or input of contractual information. This will require the ability to read and understand contracts and gain an in depth knowledge of the systems needed to complete each task.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for daily input and balancing of such input relative to respective area (i.e.) advances, contract information, and/or sub rights with equal level of proficiency in all areas.
  • Responsible for review of new pubs each cycle respective to area impacted (i.e.) advances, etc.
  • Handle divisional / author queries and related research.
  • Special projects as deemed necessary.
  • Works independently on a daily basis. Works with departmental supervisors, managers or director when necessary on projects.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required
  • Working knowledge of royalty and the royalty system preferred but not required
  • 1-3 years relevant experience
  • Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Friendly and Professional mannerisms
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, & Outlook
  • Excellent Written & Verbal Communication Skills
  • Basic Math Skills
  • Customer Service Skills
  • Data Entry Skills
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
