HarperCollins Children’s Books is seeking an Advertising Manager to handle a variety of tasks to support the team. Duties include advertising media buying across all Harper imprints (including Clarion Books), building and leading internal advertising presentations, self-serve platform campaign executions, campaign stat analytics, and project management coordination with multiple departments. This role will expose you to multiple functions of the children’s marketing department and interface with all members, across categories and imprints, of the marketing team.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees media buying across all Harper Children’s titles across all imprints: Harper, Quill Tree, Heartdrum, Katherine Tegen Books, Balzer & Bray, Greenwillow, HarperAlley and Clarion under direction of Associate Director, Advertising.
  • Traffics advertising creative among relevant teams with Ad/Promo Coordinator.
  • Serves as lead project manager for coordinating internal epicreads.com advertising strategy and execution.
  • Solicits and works in tandem with Ad/Promo Coordinator on booking and project management of all trade and regional advertising.
  • Partners with digital team to collaborate on organic to paid advertising opportunities.
  • Supports the Associate Director, Advertising in developing and executing presentations and final campaign reporting.

Qualifications

  • 4 year college degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 3 years advertising media buying experience
  • Prior paid social media advertising with Facebook, Google, Pinterest, and Twitter
  • Must be proactive, detail-oriented, incredibly organized, multi-tasker
  • Must thrive on working closely with different teams and satisfying multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication, organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google docs
  • Must have strong prioritization skills
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite programs and Basecamp a plus
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Proficiency in advertising language and verbiage

This role is currently based out of New York, New York. You will need to commute to the office when it reopens.
