The HarperOne Group seeks a Marketing Manager specializing in community outreach and engagement for HarperVia, HarperCollins Español, and Amistad. In this role, you will report into the Associate Publisher. Candidate must be forward-thinking and able to implement both traditional and non-traditional marketing initiatives into print and digital campaigns for HarperVia and HarperCollins Español, and social outreach and video content for HarperVia, HarperCollins Español, and Amistad.

Responsibilities

  • Conceives and executes the marketing campaigns for select titles each season.
  • Creates title specific, as well as imprint-wide, video and social content for imprints.
  • Works closely with the Associate Publisher to maintain and increase HarperOne Group’s online presence through various social media channels and direct to consumer email lists. 
  • Works closely with the Associate Publisher to brainstorm new marketing initiatives and ideas across all platforms, Print, Digital, and Audio.
  • Communicates directly with editors, authors, agents, talent managers and cross-promotional partners about campaigns – from presentation through execution.

Qualifications

  • Must possess college degree or equivalent work experience
  • Must have at least 3 years of consumer marketing experience in book publishing, media or entertainment with relatable marketing experience
  • Experience working with multicultural titles preferred
  • Passion for introducing diverse books to a commercial audience
  • Experience using social media (such as Instagram, Facebook and Twitter) as a marketing and sales tool 
  • Must love books!

This role is currently based out of New York, New York. You will need to commute to the office when it reopens.
