Marketing Associate

HarperCollins is currently seeking a Marketing Associate to work with our William Morrow Imprint. This position will contribute to marketing campaigns across many genres, including general fiction, romcoms, sci-fi/fantasy, and nonfiction, as well as providing social media and seasonal support to the marketing department.


  • Creates and executes marketing plans for 10-12 hardcover and paperback titles each season.
  • Presents marketing plans in meetings with sales, editors, authors, agents, and the Publisher.
  • Works closely with authors to develop and execute title marketing campaigns, that include pre-order timelines and social media.
  • Coordinates with publicity, editorial, and sales on galleys, events, special editions, and marketing collateral, as well managing and executing advertising campaigns.
  • Supports the Social Media Associate Director on the William Morrow Instagram account, including scheduling posts and coordinating photos.
  • Seasonally responsible for organizing paperback marketing bullets, egalleys, and back ads.
  • Assists senior marketing directors on select national bestselling campaigns each season.


  • Minimum 2+ years of publishing experience required; title marketing experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of social media and web technologies (e.g. Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Shortstack, Email deployment)
  • Proficient in basic computer applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; knowledge of Canva a plus
  • A capable and clear presenter in group and one-on-one situations
  • Ability to work collaboratively
  • A motivated self-starter
  • Excellent communication, multi-tasking, and organizational skills; exceptional attention to detail
  • College degree or equivalent work experience


This role is currently based out of New York, New York. You will need to commute to the office when it reopens.
