The HarperCollins Special Markets department is seeking a Sales Support Coordinator to join the Proprietary and Custom Sales team! The Proprietary and Custom Sales team is responsible for creating innovative, exclusive, and bestselling HarperCollins book editions for Barnes & Noble, Books A Million, Costco, Sam’s Club and Walmart, as well as the Special Markets and International Sales team. The Sales Support Coordinator will play a key role providing team with administrative support and will report to the Senior Manager, Proprietary and Custom Sales.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation for sales meetings by creating and updating PowerPoint presentations, confirming agendas, taking notes, and scheduling meetings.
  • Coordinate project workflow for custom editions across adult and children’s imprints and support the book production cycle from initial idea to final product.
  • Maintain and update weekly project status grids to ensure information is accurate and up to date for Special Markets and International Sales meetings.
  • Maintain sales grids to ensure customer billing is accurate and up to date.
  • Process orders.
  • Send project quote requests to in-house production team members.
  • Utilize in-house systems for sales reporting and processing orders.
  • Attend regular in-house sales presentations and occasional customer-specific sales meetings.

Qualifications

  • College degree and 1 year minimum prior work-related experience
  • Prior production/design or editorial publishing experience a plus
  • Strong inner drive to build, improve, and own cross-department process
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and work on multiple projects at a time
  • Must be a team player with the proven ability to thrive on working closely with different teams and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication, organizational skills, and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to adapt and learn new systems quickly
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google docs

This role is currently based out of New York, New York. You will need to commute to the office when it reopens.
