Sales Support Assistant

Join the Special Markets Sales team as a Sales Support Assistant!  The Special Markets department sells all HarperCollins titles to the specialty marketplace. In this role you will provide support to the Senior Vice President and the Special Markets Department


  • Provides administrative support to department head including handling phones/calendar, making travel arrangements, processing invoices and expense reports, and ordering supplies.
  • Organizes and takes notes during monthly department meetings.
  • Runs regular department sales reports as well as ad hoc reports.
  • Provides sales support to the Special Market Sales Reps as needed.
  • Handles all author and author event orders.
  • Prepares author itineraries for select Speaker's Bureau events and updates profiles.


  • College degree or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively
  • Ability to effectively work with all levels of management including executives
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Retail experience a plus


This role is currently based out of New York, New York. You will need to commute to the office when it reopens.
