HCCP is seeking a Human Resources Generalist responsible for partnering with HCCP’s HR team and business leaders to customize, support and implement DE&I programs that support HCCP’s mission and business strategies with a specific focus on increasing the diversity of candidates in the pipeline of talent at HCCP.

 

This position will report to the HCCP Division’s Vice President of HR (based in Nashville, TN) and can be located in either Nashville, TN or Grand Rapids, MI. 

 

We are currently working remotely but expect when we return to work it will be a hybrid model with some days in the office and some days working remotely.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a strong working knowledge of HCCP’s business. It is expected this knowledge, coupled with solid HR skills and sound judgment, will then be used in managing situations that require HR involvement. 
  • Integrate HR philosophies with business strategies and needs to provide solution based, business-oriented recommendations, action plans and solutions.
  • Work as a member of HCCP’s HR team which includes proactive communication, collaboration and leveraging the team’s knowledge and experience to gain optimal results. All of this is balanced with a focus on individual accountability and ownership to achieve results.
  • Partner with HCCP’s VP, HR to customize, manage and implement DE&I initiatives that support HCCP’s mission and business strategies.
  • Recommend and implement strategies to acquire, develop and retain diverse talent.
  • Manage HCCP’s Linked In Recruiter Seat to proactively source candidates for all HCCP open positions with the goal of increasing the diversity of candidates in HCCP’s pipeline of talent.
  • Identify and own other sourcing strategies for HCCP including but not limited to colleges and universities, staffing agencies, and search firms.
  • Partner with our Corporate Communications team to actively manage HCCP’s Linked In accounts to brand, educate and promote career opportunities at HCCP.
  • Partner and provide support for HCCP’s Summer Internship program.
  • Stay apprised and advise HCCP’s HR team of DE&I trends and best practices.
  • Measure and track program outcomes against goals to help drive accountability and advance HCCP’s commitments.
  • Serve as the HR point of contact for entry level HCCP positions.
  • Partner with the HR Business Partners by providing recruiting support for open positions.
  • Serve as the backup for the bi-weekly payroll process.
  • Partner with HR colleagues in NYC and other HC locations in the strategic and tactical implementation of DE&I initiatives.
  • Assist with onboarding including providing recommendations to improve our effectiveness in our remote work environment.
  • Ensure compliance to all Federal, State, and local employment laws.
  • Produce high quality deliverables in a timely manner.
  • Manage other departmental initiatives as assigned.

 

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • 3 years of HR generalist related experience – preferably in a service industry or content company.
  • BA/BS college degree required.
  • Professional Certification (PHR, SPHR) preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and drive initiatives that support and advance the mission and values of the organization.
  • Experience with recruiting and recruiting support as well as employee relations and required.
  • Experience supporting DE&I initiatives and with social media management strongly preferred.
  • Business oriented with an understanding of business concepts and financial terms/measures.
  • Strong technical foundation including knowledge of local, state, and federal employment laws.
  • Proven understanding of HR practices and principles.
  • Experience working as a member of an integrated, collaborative HR team preferred. Experience building relationships and working with leaders and employees in offsite and/or remote locations preferred.
  • Strong systems orientation including a solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Ability to manage, retrieve and analyze data using Excel strongly preferred.
  • Occasional overnight travel required.
  • Ability to work a full, professional schedule required.
  • Project management and change management experience a preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Workday and UltiPro HRIS knowledge/experience a plus.
