The Spanish Senior Marketing Associate provides marketing support for product launch and backlist campaigns for a variety of Bibles and books, as well as for overall marketing initiatives for Editorial Vida and Grupo Nelson.  This person will be a key contributor and support the management and execution of the marketing team’s strategy around content creation, social media, email marketing, metadata and keyword development, paid digital advertising, partnerships, live events and other relevant marketing activities that drive sales. 

 

The Spanish Sr. Marketing Associate will be tasked with monitoring performance for various marketing initiatives, provide sales analysis as well as assist with other reports and presentations.  Additionally, this person will project manage areas that are vital to the overall operation of the marketing team and will interact regularly with both internal and external stakeholders.

 

Editorial Vida and Grupo Nelson are imprints of HarperCollins Christian Publishing, dedicated to the publishing and distribution of Spanish language Bibles and books.

 

Responsibilities

  • Assisting in the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns to optimize sales for all front-list and backlist Bible and book projects
  • Providing project management, scheduling and general support for rest of team
  • Managing creation and execution of emails, web pages, Amazon A+ content, print ads and more
  • Developing or assisting in conceptualizing copy and visuals for video trailers, social media content, print ads and more
  • Managing social media channels for publishing imprints
  • Providing strategy and support for Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and other digital ad campaigns
  • Updating and optimizing product metadata, including catalog descriptions, keywords, BISAC codes, and images used for Amazon product pages, and other ecommerce outlets
  • Assisting with the creation of marketing and publicity updates and routing them to the sales team, distributors, and retailers
  • Managing all creative assets and making them available to the sales team, distributors, and retailers
  • Assisting with the creation of catalog sheets, title research, video presentations and other elements related to our sales conference
  • Collecting sales data, market research and other information and preparing presentations, dashboards and reports
  • Managing the creation of seasonal and annual product catalogs and other tools needed by the sales team
  • Providing general administrative support, including but not limited to processing and tracking invoices and payments, executing promotional book mailings to influencers and media, and managing virtual and in-person events and conference participation
  • Ensure that all inquiries via email and social media are responded to in a timely basis
  • Providing authors and outside vendors requested information and assets
  • Attending relevant book trade shows and conferences, as required
  • Assist in other marketing-related activities, as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications

Preferred candidates will:

  • Possess 2-4 years of hands-on experience in digital marketing including email marketing, social media management, and digital advertising strategy and execution
  • Have experience in using digital marketing management and analytics tools
  • Understand the Spanish-speaking Christian market in the U.S. and Latin America
  • Have basic graphic design skills and experience using design platforms such as Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite

Education:  Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, advertising or related field required. 

 

Industry Knowledge: Understanding of digital marketing and analytics as well as brand management required. Amazon Vendor Central and/or e-commerce knowledge preferred, but not required.

  • Fully bilingual – effective verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish
