HarperCollins Children’s Books is seeking a Marketing Associate in the Integrated Marketing Operations department to handle several key functions for the division. Duties include organizing the children’s catalog, coordinating all print and digital selling materials, and creating and maintaining several key operations processes and inventory systems to support the marketing and sales teams. This role includes collaboration with a multitude of departments and an opportunity to take a leading role in execution of key operational functions for the division.


  • Under guidance of Senior Director, Marketing, organizes the children’s seasonal catalog, including building and maintaining all schedules, coordinating editorial copy + marketing and design assets, invoicing/billing, and serving as the key point of contact with all teams. Includes handling seasonal add-on titles, cancellations and postponements, booking all Edelweiss+ marketing promotions, and regular updates and maintenance of frontlist and backlist catalogs as needed.
  • Coordinates all selling materials for the children’s division including schedule maintenance, man ed and production communication, quantity solicitation, and inventory management. Handles all seasonal sales rep mailings, top account mailings, IndieBound mailings and in-house material distribution, as well as pricing out and coordinating requests for materials with production and invoicing.
  • Handles egalley scheduling and all logistics for children’s division, including presence on Edelweiss+ and Netgalley. Regular coordination with managing editorial, marketing, and design teams to support the children’s presence across all titles.
  • Develops selling material budget for Senior Director, Marketing, including identifying opportunities for cost savings and increased efficiency.
  • Key contact for development of department process and training documents for marketing and sales teams (under management of Senior Director, Marketing).
  • Works with outside storage vendor to maintain our sales materials, promotional items and displays that are kept at third party location. Handles all invoices and billing.


  • Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in either a marketing operations, managing editorial, or production supporting role – with experience in maintaining schedules and budget coordination. Children’s book experience not required. Inventory experience a plus!
  • Must be proactive, detail-oriented and incredibly organized
  • Excellent communication, organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.
  • Experience with Edelweiss, Netgalley, Basecamp, and Adobe Creative Suite programs a plus
  • Must thrive on working closely with different teams and satisfying multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
