    Join William Morrow’s marketing department to work on all aspects of hardcover and trade paperback marketing campaigns for the Custom House imprint including Literary Fiction, Smart Thrillers, and Narrative Nonfiction including Memoir and Politics. The Senior Marketing Associate works closely with Marketing Directors to create and execute titled marketing campaigns, and to carry out supportive departmental functions and tasks.

    Responsibilities

    • Creates and executes marketing plans for 2-5 titles a season under minimal supervision and supports Marketing Directors on the execution of plans for an additional 5-8 titles per season.
    • Presents plans in meetings with sales, editors, authors, agents, and the publisher.
    • Works with authors on their social media platforms, creating campaigns, timelines, etc. for the ramp-up to publication.
    • Creates and designs social media and online assets for book campaigns and promotions.
    • Manages the Custom House social media accounts and is responsible for growing current platform.
    • Liaises with publicity, editorial, ad/promo and sales on AREs, galleys, and all collateral material needed for reps, booksellers, and consumers.
    • Handles advertising campaigns across titles.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum 3+ years of publishing experience required; marketing experience preferred
    • Strong knowledge of social media and web technologies (e.g., Facebook, Shortstack, Email deployment, Snapchat, Instagram)
    • Strong capability to design digital promotional assets, excellent experience with InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Powerpoint
    • A capable and clear presenter in group and one-on-one situations
    • Ability to work collaboratively
    • A motivated self-starter with a love for books
    • Excellent communication and multi-tasking skills
    • Excellent organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
    • 4 year college degree or equivalent work experience
