    The Marketing Director plans and executes marketing programs for the Thomas Nelson Bibles group that facilitate sales of Bibles, as well as translation stewardship. 

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns for product lines to optimize sales for frontlist and backlist titles as assigned
    • P/L management for titles as assigned
    • Lead and innovate content marketing strategies; manage flawless execution
    • Lead event marketing strategy and execution
    • Develop and support the sales team in creating tools to help them be effective in their channels
    • Marketing and communication stewardship of various Bible translations
    • Provide support and day to day touch point for authors and ministries
    • Lead ongoing metadata optimization for the team
    • Other related responsibilities, as required.

    Qualifications

    Work Experience/Knowledge:

    • 8+ years in a marketing or related field role
    • Experience with product launches
    • Well-versed in both traditional and digital marketing campaigns

     

    Education: Bachelor's in marketing, design, or related field. Master’s degree in related field preferred (MBA, IMC, etc)

     

    Industry Knowledge: Experience serving the Christian market in publishing or related field preferred

     

    Skills:

    • Strong analytical and metrics-based decision-making experience
    • Significant familiarity with the organization and content of the Bible
    • Significant digital platform & branding experience, i.e. website, podcast, multi-channel syndication
    • Proven ability to develop and maintain strong professional relationships with colleagues and vendors
    • Experience managing multiple, competing priorities, duties and/or projects
    • Strong organizational, time management skills with attention to detail
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
    • Team management experience preferred
    • Must be able to work independently under tight deadlines 
    • Must possess the skill to set priorities and problem solve
    • Strong computer skills necessary, especially Microsoft Office.
