    HarperCollins Publishers is looking for a Reporting Analyst to join the Data Engineering team in the IT department. The ideal candidate is a highly self-motivated individual to lead and drive growth, while supporting and maintaining existing analytical reports. The Reporting Analyst will report to the Manager, Data Automation.


    • Provide Sales, Finance, Operations, and Marketing departments with dashboards and reports involving market insight, revenue, and consumer analytics data
    • Develop and maintain existing Tableau reports
    • Work with business and technical teams to design the visualization and implement the dashboard
    • Create and distribute numerous weekly/monthly reports for Senior Management detailing the performance of HarperCollins books
    • Consolidate results from disparate databases and data warehouses for dashboards and reporting to provide a single view into company performance
    • Develop ways to use data to evaluate internal business outcomes and external sources
    • Be creative in approaches to solving problems and managing data. Look for opportunities to improve current reporting processes as well as implement new processes when necessary
    • Build and distribute reporting templates/models for various departments to improve efficiency
    • Standardize data collection and validation
    • Train business users on leveraging reports and dashboards
    • Design and develop reporting solutions in timely and accurate manner
    • Ensure data is sourced properly from our vendor sites
    • Perform tests on data acquired by data engineering
    • Identify new areas of opportunity and help senior management answer critical questions related to the business.


    • Able to submit a Tableau Work Portfolio
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related area of study; Master’s degree a plus
    • 1-2+ years of related work experience preferred
    • 1-3+ years of Tableau reporting development experience required
    • Experience using SQL a plus
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
    • Open-minded approach to different reporting solutions
    • Proven ability to take initiative and be innovative
