    HarperCollins Publishers seeks a Digital Solutions Manager to provide business and technical expertise to support North American ecommerce, online presence, and marketing needs. The Digital Solutions Manager will be required to work independently, and with the business to identify new and emerging technologies, provide analysis and requirements on eCommerce and digital technologies, and design how best to apply these technologies to the publishing industry.



    • Manage the pipeline of requests and development efforts for eCommerce for HarperCollins, HarperCollins Christian, and International businesses as needed
    • Work with the business to provide analysis and requirements for eCommerce and direct to consumer projects
    • Lead design sessions to facilitate collaboration between the business, IT and 3rd party vendors to set priorities, develop roadmaps, and design solutions for eCommerce
    • Ensure eCommerce roadmap aligns with both business strategy and eCommerce technology solution.
    • Collaborate with eCommerce, development, and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between scope and timing, usability and functional needs
    • Effectively translate the functional requirements to deliver the artifacts required for the product to be delivered (Functional requirements, Business Requirements Document, Use Cases, User Stories, GUI, Screen and Interface designs)
    • Ensure the designed solution and associated work flow follows out-of-the-box processes/functionality wherever possible.
    • Use knowledge of packaged eCommerce solutions, web technologies, integrations, security practices etc. to provide recommendations for solutioned designs
    • Utilize enterprise-wide tools and methodologies as required
    • Deliver requests for the business using agile concepts and iterative development
    • Successfully engage in multiple initiatives by delivering on commitments to the business, while engaging in discovery of future initiatives.
    • Analyze analytics and customer feedback and recommend enhancements to improve the customer experience, site performance, and cost basis of the products


    • 5-7 years related experience in I.T. product management/eCommerce technology
    • Experience deploying and managing digital solutions and software for ecommerce
    • An understanding of online product development leveraging internal and external services to rapidly deliver solutions, and effectively iterate to achieve incremental short term goals.
    • Experience with online marketing concepts, including online personas, identity management, social integration, loyalty programs, and affiliate programs
    • Extensive experience with eCommerce platforms including integrations to ERP systems, 3rd party marketing tools, and fulfillment.
    • ShopifyPlus experience a strong plus
    • Strong analytical and product management skills required, including understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group including business executives, managers, subject matter experts and technical personnel
    • Ability to work with the business to identify and prioritize projects, drive delivery, and support the ongoing operation of tools and processes
    • Team player with proven ability to work in a dynamic, evolving work environment
