The Sales Director is responsible for overseeing the efforts of the Specialty Sales Team. This includes growing revenue within the existing accounts as well as opening, growing, and developing new accounts. The Sales Director also provides leadership and career development to the current members of the Specialty team.
Knowledge: Working knowledge of book sales required. Knowledge of HCCP products is desirable. Specific knowledge of HCCP kids and gift sales to major accounts is a bonus!
Work Experience: 7 plus years selling to or managing specialty accounts. Kids and gift product sales is ideal.
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
Industry Knowledge: Understands the publishing process from a sales perspective from start to finish. Also understanding the retailer’s presentation cycles and their formatting.
