Reprint Production Assistant

Job Locations US-NJ-Monmouth Junction


HarperCollins Publishers is currently seeking a Production Assistant to assist the Reprint Production department in daily tasks related to the reprinting of backlist titles. This is a great opportunity for a self-starter who wishes to learn about making books, both print and digital.


  • Assists department and Manager with various projects.
  • Routes print and e-book corrections through Design and Production Editorial for inclusion in reprinted books.
  • Processes orders with outside printers and binderies for manufacturing of Adult, Children’s and Christian titles.
  • Sends active Children’s books for safety testing and maintains relevant reports.
  • Maintains reprint sample library.
  • Manages daily reports and schedule updates for key titles.


  • College Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 2010
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously 
  • Prior publishing internship experience a plus
