The Key Account Manager will have direct account responsibility with major retailers as well as working with the distributors that provide product and merchandising services for these major accounts. Key accounts include Meijers, Sam’s, Kroger, Shopko, and BJ’s as well as working with our major distributor, Readerlink. This position will also include the development of a corporate Spinner Rack program.
Knowledge: Working knowledge of book sales required. Knowledge of HCCP product with a specialty in kids and gift product sales into major accounts is highly desired.
Work Experience: 5+ years calling on large, national key accounts and the distributors that service those accounts
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
Industry Knowledge: The ideal candidate will have start to finish publishing process knowledge from a sales perspective. They will also have an understanding of the retailer’s presentation cycles and their purchasing format.
