    • Contracts
    • Editorial
    • Publicity
    • Managing Editorial
    • Finance

    • Production

    Details:

    Date: Wednesday, January 9, 2019

    Time: 3pm - 6pm

Location: 195 Broadway, New York, NY

    Application Process:

Submissions will be reviewed by a panel of HarperCollins employees, and a select number of applicants will be invited to attend. The application deadline is 11:59pm on October 31, 2018. Candidates being considered for the event will be contacted by the end of November.

*Please note there will be no reimbursement for travel/accommodations.

    Eligibility:

Applicants should not have interviewed for any previous positions at HarperCollins and must meet the following additional criteria:

    • MUST be available to start working in a full-time role in New York City in 2019
    • College graduates or those without a degree, but with applicable work experience, may also apply if interested in entry level roles
    • MUST have administrative/office experience
    • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite
    • Excellent organizational and communication skills
    • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and be of legal working age

    How to apply:

The application process is anonymous. Applicants must submit a one-page essay answering the questions outlined below. No resume is required, and names should not be included in the essay.

    • Why do you want to work in book publishing?
    • What book has made the biggest impact on you and why?
    • What are the last five books you’ve read? (This can be a list or paragraph.)

As resumes are not required, when prompted by the system to submit a resume, the essay should be submitted in its place.
