    HarperCollins Publishers is currently seeking a Manager, Speakers Bureau. This is a fantastic opportunity to work directly with authors throughout various categories and genres.

    Responsibilities

    • Secures paid speaking opportunities for our authors.
    • Generates contracts for Speakers Bureau.
    • Assists in arranging travel and creating an event itinerary for each author event.
    • Works with the Accounts Payable in generating check requests for our authors.
    • Keeps detailed information on every secured speaking engagement.
    • Edits and assists in putting together author bios that appear on the HarperCollins Speakers Bureau website.
    • Gathers press materials for every author represented by the Speakers Bureau.
    • Creates a promotional packet for each author.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum 3 years of related experience; experience in book publishing preferred
    • A proven ability to generate creative angles and pitches
    • An ability to work in a fast-paced environment under deadlines
    • Ability to work effectively with all levels of management
    • A deep understanding of the digital media space, including bloggers and social media
    • Ability to work independently
    • Excellent communication skills, including exceptional writing skills
    • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
    • A college degree or equivalent experience
