  • Overview

    This position aids in the creation of HCCP’s curriculum and marketing videos by editing footage shot by the in-house video production team as well as freelance videographers, designing video-related graphics, and distributing finished video files to internal and external clients.

    Responsibilities

    Post Production and video editing of media projects including curriculum, promotional video segments, and marketing pieces. Editing short and long form video programs based on our books and other author content. Video graphic creation, formatting of programs/projects for web distribution and archiving/data management. Coordinate and manage projects working with a variety of people from various departments. Some camera work (both still and video) may be needed, but is not essential to the work.

    Qualifications

     

    Knowledge: Adobe Premier Editing software.

     

    Work Experience: Minimum 2 years of video editing experience.

     

    Education: 4 year degree or technical school training in related field.

     

    Industry Knowledge: General technical knowledge of the film and video industry.

     

    Skills:

    • Solid competence and experience in video post production.
    • Thorough working knowledge of the Adobe Premier Editing software and workflow operating in Mac OS.
    • Graphic design skills and experience as well as adequate working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop for graphic creation.
    • Attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple projects at one time.  
    • After-Effects, DVD Studio Pro, Pro Tools, output formatting for various forms of web-delivery, basic still photography, basic videography experience.
