    Join William Morrow’s marketing department to work with all aspects of hardcover and trade paperback marketing campaigns for a full title list that includes franchise bestsellers, discovery fiction, narrative nonfiction, cookbooks, and self-improvement. The Senior Marketing Associate works closely with the Senior Marketing Director to create and execute titled marketing campaigns, and to carry our supportive departmental functions and tasks.

    Responsibilities

    • Creates and executes marketing plans for 12-15 titles a season under minimal supervision.
    • Presents plans in meetings with sales, editors, authors, agents, and the publisher.
    • Works with authors on their social media platforms, creating campaigns, timelines, etc. for the ramp-up to publication.
    • Manages one of the imprint’s social media accounts and is responsible for growing current platform.
    • Liaises with publicity, editorial, ad/promo and sales on AREs, galleys, and all collateral material needed for reps, booksellers, and consumers.
    • Handles advertising campaigns across titles.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum 3+ years of publishing experience required; marketing experience preferred
    • Strong knowledge of social media and web technologies (e.g. Facebook, Shortstack, Email deployment, Snapchat, Instagram)
    • A capable and clear presenter in group and one-on-one situations
    • Ability to work collaboratively
    • A motivated self-starter with a love for books
    • Excellent communication and multi-tasking skills
    • Excellent organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
    • 4 year college degree or equivalent work experience
