    HarperCollins Publishers is seeking a Production Services Analyst responsible for monitoring and providing Level 1 support for all infrastructure services including servers, network appliances, applications, and Operational support products.

    The Production Services Analyst also provides coordination of activities between IT customers and Data Center Operations. 


    • Provide 24x7 Level 1 Data Center Operational support
    • Develop and implement monitoring templates for all infrastructure services including server and application performance, disk space usage, network availability, network intrusion, and compliance against SLAs for on premise and cloud services.
    • Provide gatekeeper responsibilities for migrating code changes into production environments.
    • Work with Technical and Network teams to develop and perform Data Center disaster recovery exercises
    • Implement data backups, data retention policies, and data recoverability processes
    • Coordinate and document production job scheduling for all platforms (Windows, Unix, AS/400)
    • Act as liaison between applications development, technology engineering, networking services, and Data Center Operations
    • Provide installation and policy development for Operational support products including scheduling, media management, infrastructure monitoring, print management and CI-CD toolset.
    • Provide training to colleagues on the Operations team.


    • Degree in Computer Science preferred or equivalent work experience.
    • 3-4 years working knowledge in a MS Windows and Linux environment
    • Background in both applications development and data center Operations
    • Practiced usage of cloud server provisioning and monitoring
    • Experience with midrange platforms (Unix, AS/400, etc.)
    • Experience with CI-CD tools including GitHub Enterprise, Jenkins, Maven, and Octopus Deploy.
    • Proficient with Operational scheduling packages (Cisco Tidal preferred)
    • Highly skilled with network and infrastructure monitoring packages (SolarWinds)
    • Experienced with developing and maintaining Windows batch and PowerShell scripts
    • Adept at using media management software and procedures
    • Competent working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
    • Functional knowledge of MS SQL database software
    • Strong analytical, problem solving, and project management skills
    • Ability to interact with all levels of IT and customer personnel
    • Posses a positive, professional, team-oriented attitude
    • Exhibit a strong ability to work under pressure with changing priorities
    • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal skills
    • Ability to work off-hours in support of projects as required.
