    Our William Morrow design team is currently seeking an Assistant Designer to work with Art Directors to concept and create jackets and covers for adult trade hardcover and paperback books. William Morrow genres include commercial and literary fiction and non-fiction, cookbooks, self-help and memoirs!


    • Works with Art Directors to concept and create jackets and covers and creates own jackets/covers.
    • Prepares mechanicals for production.
    • Assists with preparation for meetings; prints materials, such as comps, sample layouts; mounts covers and/or creates dummy books. 


    • 1-3 years of design experience
    • Book cover design experience
    • Excellent organizational and communication skills
    • Must be creative, adaptable, and have a strong work-ethic
    • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and perform under pressure
    • Strong Adobe CS knowledge
    • Ability to work effectively in a team setting
    • BFA degree
