  • Overview

    The Receptionist provides excellent customer service to our visitors, vendors and employees that enter the building or call the office. The Receptionist also provides general customer service support and related tasks.


    Essential Responsibilities:

    • Welcome guest and ensure they have and provide proper identification badge
    • Answers telephones and directs the caller to the appropriate person or department
    • Log any packages that come into the Front Desk
    • Ensure all employees have their company access card upon entering
    • Maintain familiarity with product lines to assist Customers in placing orders and provide information on all Bible, book, audio, DVD, digital, and Bible Cover publications
    • Maintain good appearance of lobby
    • Order and maintain Bestseller bookshelf stock; place order for current Bestsellers following each sales conference
    • Manage campus guest list
    • Communicate effectively with internal and external customers and customer support staff
    • Process domestic gratis orders
    • Other duties as assigned


    Knowledge/Work Experience: 2-5 years of experience as a receptionist, preferred, previous experience as a Customer Service Rep preferred, experience with multi-line phone system strongly preferred and experience with JD Edwards Enterprise One preferred.


    Education: Minimum High School diploma or equivalent


    Industry Knowledge: Working knowledge of HarperCollins Christian Publishing products, as well as that of competitors, preferred

    • Bilingual preferred
