Fantastic career opportunity to be an editor with the world’s largest Bible publisher. The person selected for this position will have the opportunity to work with the top English Bible translations (KJV, NKJV, NIV, NASB, NRSV, and more), and will partner with the most influential Bible teachers and authors to create compelling new Bible-related materials.
The Editor is responsible, both for elected and assigned titles, for the day-to-day management of the manuscript, from content editing to copyediting to the project’s completion.
The Editor will be involved with the product at all stages: providing input at titling and packaging meetings, directing the work of copyeditors and proofreaders, incorporating author changes, and teaming with the typesetter and creative director to ensure the best possible product makes it to market on schedule.
These may include new titles, repackaged/repurposed titles, line extensions, print and digital products. The Editor will work in an interdisciplinary team environment and with outside partners, such as authors and freelance proofreaders, but also thrive as an independent self-starter.
