Overview

Project coordination of HCCP IT related projects. Focuses on meeting project commitments, including communications with sponsors, stakeholders, etc. by keeping the projects organized and running smoothly. As assigned, implementation and introduction of new projects and applications as well as assistance with existing projects, as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for gathering, updating, and dispensing the needed information as well as coordinating the work throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Participate in the design and/or testing phases.
  • Facilitate the definition of project missions, goals, tasks, and resource requirements; resolve or assist in the resolution of conflicts within and between projects or functional areas; develop methods to monitor project progress.
  • Facilitate the definition of user requirements.
  • Interact regularly with users to determine their needs and to develop plans for improving delivery.
  • Work cross-functionally to solve problems and implement changes.
  • Organize / plan meetings, record minutes at meetings, keep detailed project notes and records, monitor project progress, track and manage incoming information, keep all members of the team up-to-date with current information, respond to feedback from the team to facilitate solutions and fine-tune direction.
  • Ensure projects are brought to completion and all tasks are completed for project sign off.
  • Follow a defined, agreed upon project management methodology.
  • Ability to present oral and written reports communicating plans, problems, and resolutions as necessary to appropriate levels of management.

Qualifications

Knowledge

 Working knowledge of project management phases, techniques and tools:

  • Initiate
  • Prepare: definition/scope/requirements
  • Execute & Control: scope, workplans, resources, deliverables, Q/A, transition planning, etc.
  • Close: completion and assessment

 

Work Experience:

 

5 years of increasingly responsible experience, including experience successfully managing various

projects.

 

Education:

 

Bachelor's Degree preferred.

 

Industry Knowledge:

 

Outstanding grasp of information technology concepts and processes. Demonstrated aptitude for

effectively managing multiple tasks and priorities as well as coordinating staff as necessary
