HarperCollins Publishers seeking a reliable and detail-oriented professional to fill our receptionist role in our New York City Headquarters. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is full of energy, enjoys meeting new people and has a friendly demeanor to provide our employees and visitors with a warm welcome and helpful hand. This individual will report to the Director of Facilities Management and Office Services and is eager to tackle new challenges and help the office be a productive and positive place to work.

Responsibilities

  • First face/ interaction of HarperCollins Publishers. Greets and directs employees and visitors – must be welcoming, polite, courteous and positive
  • Answers incoming calls coming in through the general switchboard; monitors inquiries of a general nature, directs telephone calls and takes messages as necessary
  • Schedules/books local conference rooms for various users/ user groups
  • Liaise and coordinate processes with office services team
  • Assists in other tasks as required by Director of Facilities Management and Office Services

Qualifications

  • Must possess college degree or equivalent work experience
  • College-level understanding and use of English language
  • Detail-oriented, well-organized and able to set priorities under pressure
  • Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and maintain a timely workflow under tight deadlines
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Ability to work effectively in a team setting
  • Professional and personable presentation
  • Reliable and punctual
