The HarperCollins Children’s Digital Marketing team is looking for a creative, highly organized, internet and social-media savvy book lover to create creative design pieces across a wide range of brands including Epic Reads and HarperCollins Children’s, to support our extensive catalog of books, authors, and brands.

 

This spring internship is a paid opportunity (14 hours per week), and it will run from February through April for a total of 10 weeks. 

Responsibilities

  • Create graphics for websites, email marketing templates, landing pages, banner ads, and social media accounts.
  • Collaborate with the marketing department and support campaigns with design solutions.
  • Create brand deliverables such as identity, logo-marks / logotypes, icons, and illustrations.
  • Pitch ideas for book/fandom specific graphics.

Qualifications

 

  • Applicants must be a current undergraduate (sophomore year or above) or graduate student
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Prior experience creating graphics and a solid grasp of design thinking
  • Understanding of how graphic content resonates on different types of social and digital platforms
  • High level of attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize quick demands and deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • An avid book reader with an interest in current events, pop culture, and social media
