Key Account Manager



This position is responsible for developing and achieving both the company revenue and profit goals and relationship goals with assigned key account retailers.


  • Achieve revenue and profit goals for each assigned key account across multiple channels
  • Develop creative promotional ideas and custom product ideas that help drive sales and generate revenue
  • Manage cooperative advertising strategy and budgets for each assigned key account
  • Provide analysis, input, and feedback on all matters related to each assigned key account, including but not limited to: sales projections by ISBN, by vertical with accurate updates provided at NTRM, promotional opportunities, POS data.
  • Develop and maintain productive relationships with buyers and marketing teams at each assigned key account
  • Work interdepartmentally to assist in achieving corporate objectives and goals
  • Actively participate in internal meetings with the publishing/marketing groups to provide market feedback
  • Effectively manage your prescribed expense budgets (T&E, gratis, co-op)
  • Sales presentations to individuals and teams focusing on actionable, strategic goals
  • Area of Sales focus is for both Thomas Nelson and Zondervan Bibles



Work Experience: minimum 5 years professional sales and/or marketing experience, preferably at a National Account level


Education: Bachelor’s degree in business/marketing or equivalent work experience


Industry Knowledge: familiarity with CRS industry and evangelical subculture (required); understanding of basic business and retail finance; knowledge of publishing industry
