Job Title: Marketing Coordinator, Digital Publishing
Department: North American Retail Marketing & Digital
Reports to: Senior Product Manager, Digital Publishing
Creative and detail oriented, the Marketing Coordinator will assist and support both the Carina Press and Digital Backlist Publishing Programs. They will be involved in the creation and execution of product development, key marketing campaigns, cross-imprint growth initiatives and trending digital publishing innovations.

Digital Publishing Marketing Support (25%)
•Identify changing trends in digital publishing and social commerce, and participate in discussions on how to capitalize on these trends to support growth
•Assist in the creation and execution of key campaigns for top tier authors, key titles, genre specific opportunities and social media as required
•Assist in budget tracking and invoice processing for vendor promotions, social media initiatives, and cover spend
Carina Press Product/Author Support (40%)
•Coordinate and prepare materials for cover briefings, promo materials, and seasonal conferences.
•Assist in the development of communications to internal and external stakeholders on marketing activities
•Be a creative and active participant in Carina Press publishing planning meetings
•Lead development and implementation with key stakeholders of communications to consumers
•Be key marketing contact for Carina Press authors managing requests/queries. Coordinate monthly creation of author promotion materials (bookmarks, price promo images)
Digital Backlist Publishing Product Support (25%)
•Coordinate and prepare materials for cover briefings, marketing bulletins, and imprint reviews.
•Provide scheduling and title creation support for all individual and cross-imprint initiatives
•Assist in the tracking and QC of asset delivery with cross-functional teams including art, marketing, editorial and the Digital Asset management team
•Post-secondary diploma/degree in Business/Marketing or Publishing
•2-3 years similar experience in a consumer driven marketing environment is preferred – digital experience is an asset
•Must have high proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
•Strong time management, organizational and planning skills.
•Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work successfully both independently and within a team dynamic.
•Creative thinker with a drive for results.
•Harlequin/Carina Press product knowledge an asset.
•Experience with PhotoShop an asset.
